Just the day before receiving the GOOD NEWS from your Facebook invitation about the encore airing of our show, I received a rejection letter from kickstarters.com <http://kickstarters.com> on my proposal to raise funds to self-publish “You’re Having A Venus Birth” a book/downloadable DVD Venus Birth film, through Balboa Press, a sister publishing firm connected to Hay House. It hit hard, and yet seeing the BIG picture, I quickly recovered!* Rather than see/FEEL it as bad news, I pronounced the whole situation as GOOD!***

A few daze before I had received an email from my GOOD sistar* and friend Betsy Gutting JD LOVE! Inviting me to a 40 day release/cleanse of any patterns holding me back from attaining my DREAMS! Also to AFFIRM them at the same time with A NEW VISION!* Off the top o my head, nothing came to mind. I intuited that I needed to meditate, contemplate, to ponder on this DEEEPLY! I also thought/FELT it was a great, inspiring, and MAGICAL idea to share on Facebook with my friends, as a status post! It was the end of February and since the theme was on A NEW VISION…meaning NEW BEGINNINGS…I intuited to post it on March 1st, and while I was in waiting…I received ample material to work with!!!*

The rejection letter began thoughts in me which produced FEEELINGS of what seemed, that all my striving to bring VENUS BIRTH into the world, to be in vain. The thoughts of all these old outmoded structures and paradigms that need to crumble to allow my DREAMS to COME TRUE, left me FEEELING, a bit overwhelmed. However, a DEEEEEEP breath, and the absolute POWER of my VENUS BIRTH experience and convictions chased those clouds away quick! And then MY NEW VISION…CAME TO LIFE!!! AND…A NEW ENERGY TOOO!!! Just like the new energy of VENUS BIRTH ITSELF!!! And on day ONE of my 40 day journey I AFFIRMED: TENACITY, DETERMINATION AND ENDURANCE TO BIRTH VENUS BIRTH INTO THE WORLD AS A HOUSEHOLD NAME! AND SO IT IS!” And then I received the LOVE from Selina Ray as an echo of my BEING, which furthered what I KNOW…ALL IS WELL!*

I was briefly overwhelmed because i thought and so FELT, like I was all alone. I REMEMBERED…GOD/DESS AND THE UNIVERSE SUPPORT VENUS BIRTH, and stronger I grew! Then Selina Ray came along once again to confirm with her knowing, with her REMEMBERING too! She’s definitely going to be BLESSED with a VENUS BIRTH(S) in her next incarnation! As I will too, because the sacred knowledge will be here…YOU WILL HAVE THIS OPPORTUNITY TOOO! When YOU ARE born, and when YOU father or give birth YOUR-SELF! The ability will not be oppressed away! VENUS BIRTH is here to stay!!!***:)))

VENUS BIRTH is also more than childbirth…although that is ALL of our beginnings, it can also be as a metaphor. It can be to birth, to bring any idea, thought forth into the world as a conscious co-creation! In other words, in pure pristine form and origin as the pure pristine thought that originated from God/dess. This is what the times are about in our world, although many are still rejecting what is happening all around. It is getting to the point where in order to nip change in the bud, one has to stick their fingers in their ears, and scream “la la la la!” to not hear or FEEEL the NEW ENERGY that is surely abound! That is how I picture the people in charge at kickstarters.com HEE HEE!!!*

As for Selina Ray…AHHH! WHAT CAN I SAY!!! In her we find a pure, sacred and open vessel, filled with consciousness and A NEW VISION too! THANK YOU SELINA RAY FOR HOLDING THE LIGHT OF PURE PRISTINE CONSCIOUSNESS…THANK YOU!* AND…I LOVE YOU!!!***:)))

Episode 6 … Prelude to Change
Dr. Ray Doktor, Psy. D.
With Episode 6, I had the honor and wonderful opportunity to bring to all of you Spiritual Psychologist - Dr. Ray Doktor, and a discussion regarding Women’s Sexuality. Dr. Ray and I had spent several months arranging schedules, so that I could sit down with him and I was thrilled when the time finally came to have a conversation with him on this particular subject.
When I arrived at his office, I found it was more ‘sacred’ of a space… energetically serene and warmly comfortable. As I gazed around the room, I took in the “zen” like atmosphere… noticing the ancient Tibetan singing bowls and artwork, sensing that healings occur within these walls, bringing to mind my time spent working with teachers of ancient traditions.
It was relatively easy to establish where we would sit to film – a large comfortable couch with pillows. The setup complete, we sat down for our conversation.
What a delight to hear Dr. Ray explain some of what keeps women from having a fully satisfying sexual life and the taboos of our culture. Dr. Ray talked about how men and women differ in the way they communicate in relationships, especially with regard to sex. As I have mentioned before, we could have talked for hours and I hope to have Dr. Ray on the show again for Season 2. His depth of knowledge with relationships and the concepts of
“law of attraction” are extensive… I certainly have my pick as to what we could talk about!
The filming went beautifully and upon leaving Dr. Ray’s office, I sensed that something was changing as to the direction the show was headed. I had no idea just how soon it would all become clear!
August 2… The night Episode 6 was to premiere – I again, experienced challenges with the show airing as scheduled… leading to what would be the end of my business relationship with the show’s producer. Realizing the time had come, I took over the “producing” of the show. Scrambling to air the Episode before midnight and dealing with my fears of doubt that I could do this, I turned to my friend for moral support. He reminded me that I had already been doing the work and that perhaps this was all a Blessing in disguise. It turned out he was right! The show aired a couple of hours ‘late’ and I was left both emotionally exhausted and empowered!
From that night forward, I have been producing the show on my own. Learning to edit and facing the challenges with renewed creativity and idea of the possibilities, I was/am excited to move forward and I believe the remainder of season 1 represents this change. Episode 6 with Dr. Ray, spurred me towards presenting material that I was more aligned with, understanding that I could include a more inclusive focus of Body Mind & Spirit…. a natural progression of the past 20 years of my personal growth, coaching practice and Wayshower Blog. Divinely guided and willing to move forward… I “Let Go” of the ‘how’ all will be accomplished and TRUST.
Thank you Dr. Ray… I bet you didn’t know that you would be a catalyst for (my) change… or did you?

Episode 6 – Women’s Sexuality with Dr. Ray Doktor
Episode 5… Hidden ‘Gifts’
Episode 5 aired July 5th – not at 7 PM as scheduled… it was more like 11 pM. With technical difficulties and a frustrated ‘host’ (me) – these ‘avoidable’ issues were, in retrospect, divinely perfect! Hidden Gifts.
Let’s begin
Cultivating the topic for Episode 5, had me go in several directions as the show continued its focus on women – There were several topics that I had a strong desire to cover; InDepth Astrology, Tantra, Fertility and Holistic Healing – specifically. With these in mind, I set out to discover, contact and schedule prospective guests. As with other months, I came across scheduling conflicts. On top of this, I was coming to understand that the idea of a ‘Web Series’ was and remains for many, a foreign idea. Part of the reason for using this ‘web series’ tool, is to bring new possibilities to the viewers, myself and guests alike.
I was fortunate to find July’s guest… Fertility Goddess Alicia Gargaro-Magaña~ Scheduled, I headed over to Alicia’s house in West Hollywood. HOLLYWOOD! Mirroring Alicia’s personality, her space is Vibrant, Colorful & Warm! What a Blessed creative place to film the shoot. I personally look more vibrant & colorful in this episode… coincidence?
Alicia and I sat down and filmed the whole show… and, OOPS! With so much content, I exceeded my 30 minute time limit! I really have to get a good timer! The attempt to edit the show down had failed… And… We would end up re-shooting the next day! This time, I managed the time more efficiently and completed the shoot with what you see today on Season 1 Episode 5!
Okay – so from the production standpoint, I experienced more frustrations, which, by-the-way is all part of the process. My producer was busy with another project at the time, so I enlisted Editor, Eduardo Magaña (Alicia’s husband) to edit the show… Eduardo is world-class! Such great luck! With the show beautifully edited, I brought it to my producer a week before the premiere on the 5th. Well, as I stated above – technical difficulties ensued the day of the premiere and the show aired 4+ hours late! Frustrating…
Thank Goodness for the quality of the editing and for Eduardo’s feedback on the show. He shared with me some directing tips on creating more depth and interest while shooting – this episode and subsequent shows all benefit from Eduardo’s expertise!
The Gifts? Episode 5 gave me many – I’ll share a couple
First – with regard to the post production aspect of the show, I realized that I was wanting/needing to have more control over the show and the integrity of the air time, which I would soon have the opportunity to do… Second – I was coming to the realization of just how much more comfortable I was becoming in my ‘skin’ – being in front of the camera. Becoming less self-conscious! Breakthrough!

Episodes’ 2 & 3… A ‘Show’ Evolving
Where Episode 1 left off in Season 1 of… ’The Selina Ray Show’, Episode 2 & 3 proved to unveil an evolution and a fine-tuning of the direction the show would take.
My guest, the delightful Lorinda Rainwater, shared her personal story with all of us, regarding her Pregnancy and the Unassisted Birth of her lovely daughter, Eyeah.
Her story needed 2 parts according to, my then producer, Rich Mbariket. He chose to air the show over a 2 month period. Episode 2 [Part 1] aired on April 5th, 2011 and was followed by Episode 3 [Part 2] on May 3rd.
Having exceeded the 30 minute time limit, much to Rich’s dismay, Rich had the challenge of ”breaking” the show into 2 parts – evidence that the show, indeed was becoming much more than either of us had anticipated.
All the while I was gaining more confidence in the way I would approach the shoot of show… continuing with my original idea, to keep the show authentic and completely unscripted. Oh sure, I had in mind what I wanted to know – however, I knew that each show would unfold as the conversation went on… And this particular show proved that unscripted could become very interesting. To date, my show with Lorinda, has more views than all my other shows combined in Season 1.
I have such a profound gratitude for Lorinda and her Beautiful Authentic Self!… Thank you my dear friend!
